Journey

Do you travel regularly and need to be on top of your game? When traveling, between train and plane journeys, the hectic pace, and health issues... the opportunities that increase the risk of dehydration are numerous!

Long journeys that dehydrate!

When traveling, the confined spaces of airplanes or trains are often overheated or air-conditioned. This affects air quality and deprives the eyes and mucous membranes of the necessary moisture.

When the air around us is dry, the water in our bodies is naturally attracted to the drier air molecules in the atmosphere. It's a bit like the principle of evaporation. During a flight, our bodies lose water in favor of the air in the cabin.

Some figures to better understand

In an airplane, air comes from two places:

70%
air comes from inside the cabin and is recycled
I
30%
air is renewed from outside

This results in a humidity level (hygrometry as we say in jargon) of 10% whereas in everyday life, in France for example, the humidity is around 60%!

And once you arrive, there are new risks of dehydration.

Once we arrive at our destination, we often engage in a variety of activities that put a lot of strain on our bodies. This sometimes includes hiking in high temperatures, sightseeing, long, unusual walks, and hectic meetings.

The body, subjected to new and demanding conditions, may lose a greater amount of water, which can contribute to dehydration. And that's without taking into account the hazards of travel and the risk of vomiting or diarrhea, which lead to a loss of water and minerals.

And you may have already noticed that, often after a long trip, our skin is dry and our lips chapped. More than a question of aesthetics or discomfort, this naturally produced moisture barrier protects us from microbes. When hydration is insufficient, we are therefore more vulnerable, and generally, more tired.

Have a good trip, have a good Hydratis!

To make the most of your travels and compensate for mineral salt losses, Hydratis is a hydration solution that improves water absorption in the body.
Two Hydratis lozenges in a water bottle for the duration of the trip, and you're ready to go. Two to three lozenges a day during the trip, and you're ready to enjoy yourself to the fullest.

Tips & best practices

How to promote good hydration when traveling?

Before :
Drink your daily 1.5 liters of water to prepare the ground! If you don't like water or forget to drink, Hydratis is here to naturally flavor your daily hydration, while optimizing your body's water absorption. Two tablets in a bottle will optimize your hydration for travel.

During :
If you're traveling to a hot climate, increase your daily water intake to more than 2 liters per day. Water intake should be increased because the risk of dehydration is higher. Avoid alcohol, which is dehydrating.

After :
In the hours following disembarkation, make sure to drink 1 liter of water in small, occasional doses.

What's in a Hydratis lozenge?

  • A hypotonic solution to improve hydration and maintain proper muscle function
  • Glucose and sodium to promote water absorption into the blood
